The Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Mohammed Shehu Timta, has confirmed a devastating attack by suspected terrorists on the Izge community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, resulting in the deaths of an army captain and a private soldier. The incident, reported on Wednesday, underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region.

Community Resilience: Despite the loss, local forces and residents collaborated to repel the attackers, killing three terrorists and recovering motorcycles, bicycles, an operational vehicle, and a sophisticated rifle.
