Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has announced an immediate ban on the sale of fuel in filling stations across Bama Local Government Area, including Bama town and the border community of Banki, as a strategic measure to combat insurgency. The directive, issued on Saturday, May 10, 2025, aims to disrupt fuel supplies that insurgents may use to sustain their operations in this conflict-prone region.
Security First: Zulum stated, โI have directed the immediate ban on the sale of petrol in Bama town, Banki, and other parts of Bama Local Government Area with immediate effect,โ emphasizing that there will be no exceptions in enforcing this measure to enhance regional security.
